That's where the L-T-D driving school comes in. Good driving schools guide you not only to pass your test, but also to a lifetime of good, skilful considerate safe driving ready for the open road and the pressures of our busy road network.
Who is L-T-D Driving School?
The L-T-D Driving school is an independent privately owned family business, who offer personal, reliable, efficient service, which often the larger driving schools find difficult to deliver.
Based in Newquay, Cornwall, we deliver driver training to all types of people of all ages from all different types of life. So whatever your life style we have the training course to suit you.
Your Instructor
As for your instructor with The L-T-D Driving School, well my names Pete. I am a fully qualified Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and have been highly trained in the latest teaching techniques, so you can be confident you will be receiving some of the highest quality driving lessons available in Cornwall.
Having served in the Royal Air Force Mechanical Transport Flight for nearly twenty-five years, I am a highly skilled Driver and Trainer, thus enabling me to get the best from my pupils. I have taken and passed 1st time, various types of driving tests; this in turn has given me valuable experience when teaching others to drive and to appreciate their anxieties.
Presently I hold a full current driving licence for the Following Categories:
- LGV C+E The Largest heavy goods vehicle on the road today.
- PCV Large passenger carrying vehicles. (55 seats)
- LGV Road Tanker. The carriage of dangerous substances by road.
- R T I T B Forklift truck operators licence.
- R T I T B Mobile crane operators licence.
We Can Help You Pass
With the L-T-D Driving School our lessons are closely linked to the Driving Standards Agency syllabus for teaching people how to drive. Excellent pass rates are achieved by patiently ensuring pupils are trained to a very high standard. Your progress will be tracked throughout your driving lessons using DSA training record cards, which you are free to see at any time, so you will know exactly the rate and level you are progressing at. To Support your training, in preparation for your practical test we conduct regular driving assessments and mock tests, so by the time you reach your test date you will be full of confidence.
We structure our lessons and courses to suit most pupils, and hopefully our website covers just about everything; however if you have a question regarding learning to drive or just want to talk then please give us a call pick up the phone or use the contact me page and I will get back to you.
The Tuition Car
The car you will be learning to drive in is a modern up to date BMW Mini, with a manual gearbox, air conditioning, electric windows and the all-important dual controls for safety. This car is amazing to drive: experience it for yourself in a safe learning environment with the benefit of fully adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel, so if you are looking for a bit more comfort we have the answer.
With the L-T-D Driving School lessons are always conducted on a one to one basis and we deliver the lessons on time; you always get the full appointment time, never cut short picking or dropping other pupils off. It’s your lesson and we are fully focused on you.
